Frelimo Secretary-General Receives Rwandan Ambassador
The Secretary-General of Frelimo, Chakil Aboobacar, received yesterday in Maputo, in a courtesy meeting, the Ambassador of Rwanda to Mozambique, Donat Ndamage.
During the meeting, both parties highlighted the importance of relations of friendship and cooperation between the two countries.
During the meeting, Chakil Aboobacar expressed gratitude for the support Mozambique has received from Rwanda in combating terrorism in the province of Cabo Delgado.
In his remarks, Aboobacar reaffirmed the importance of bilateral cooperation in defending the sovereignty and territorial integrity of nations.
The Secretary-General of the party also referred to the presidential vision of Frelimo and of the President of the Republic, Daniel Chapo, aimed at promoting the country’s progress and development, as well as creating conditions that lead to achieving economic independence.
On the occasion, Chakil Aboobacar emphasized that strengthening relations with friendly countries is an essential pillar for consolidating peace, stability, and sustainable development.
He also reiterated Frelimo’s commitment to continue deepening strategic partnerships that benefit the Mozambican people.
“We will remain firm in consolidating national unity and strengthening partnerships with brotherly countries, such as Rwanda, certain that it is through cooperation, solidarity, and joint work that we will build an increasingly prosperous, secure, and economically independent Mozambique,” said Chakil Aboobacar.
For his part, the head of the Rwandan diplomatic mission in the country took the opportunity to congratulate the Secretary-General of Frelimo on his election to the position, highlighting the way in which he has conveyed the message that the party and its leaders must remain focused on meeting the needs of their people.
