Legalization of documents
Power of attorney
- Validation of all legal documents by applicants in need to grant power attorney of attorney or authorize others to perform certain duties in Rwanda.
Requirements
• Fill in application form
• Sign the PoA granting document at the High Commission
• Payment of 1,500 MZN
• For couple both must be present
Birth Certificate
- Birth certificates (Attestation of de naissance) in lieu of the original birth certificate is also a service given by the High Commission.
Requirements
• A copy of a picture Rwandan identification card/passport
• Document(s) issued by a Rwandan competent authority stating the applicant’s parents, date of birth and place of birth.
• A request letter signed by the applicant addressed to the Consular
• Payment of 650 Mzn
Criminal Record clearance
- Criminal record clearance certificate is also facilitated from the Prosecutor General’s office to Rwandans and foreigners who lived in Rwanda.
Requirements
• Application letter to the Prosecutor General
• Filled application form
• A copy of passport/ID
• A copy of the residence permit / DIRE
• Provide 2 colored passport Photos with a white background
• Payment of 650 Mzn
Authentication/certification of Rwandan driving license
- Validation and authentication of various documents is a service done.
Requirements
• Application letter addressed to the Consular
• A copy of the residence permit / DIRE
• Copy of passport or ID
• Provide original Rwandan driving license issued by the Rwanda National Police;
• Payment of 2,200 Mzn

- Passport: 100,000 Rwf valid for 10 years, 75,000 Rwfvalid for 5 yearsand 25,000Rwf for children
- Emergency travel document: 650 Mzn
